Ukraine earned billions on exports — what was bought from us

Ukraine is considered one of the world's leading producers of grains and oilseeds. The country exports these products abroad, and this process continues even during the war. Thus, by the end of 2024, the state budget received more than $5 billion from sunflower oil export.

Agricultural exports in 2024 - what crops did Ukraine trade in
According to the Minister, sunflower oil accounts for the largest share of Ukraine's agricultural exports. Last year, the share of exports was 21%, and farmers shipped 6 million tons of sunflower oil abroad.
"Corn is in second place — 21%, with a total of 29.6 million tons exported for $5 billion. Wheat is in third place — 15%, which is 20.6 million tons for $3.7 billion.Rapeseed is also among the leaders — 7% (3.8 million tons for 1.8 billion dollars)," Koval said.
The most profitable crop on the agricultural market
Oilseeds rose significantly in price last year, making rapeseed the most profitable crop on the agricultural market with a 360% return.
Corn, on the other hand, after the crop's yield decreased by almost 18%, halved its profitability to 11%.
